Endurance

endurance - How can I be effective in serving Christ over the long haul?

Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28

Let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

Galatians 6:9

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

Hebrews 10:36

Times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord.

Acts 3:20

AS WOMEN, we often find ourselves in roles of service. It can be difficult to serve others well over a long period of time, whether in official ministry, in a family, or in a career. Our endurance will be tested many times, and we may be tempted to give up. If you are in a difficult season in service, the Holy Spirit has orchestrated the timing of this devotion just for you. When you find your strength evaporating and your endurance fading, come to God for help first. Create space to care for your own soul so that you can better care for others. Ask God to help you discern when to say yes and when to delegate. God doesn’t desire his children to minister until they burn out. He wants to give you times of refreshment, fill you up with his love, and restore your soul.
