A prayer of Repentance
When I need my life to go a different direction
Dear Jesus,
Just like a car going the wrong way on a one-way street, I’ve been traveling the wrong direction with my life. I have not been going your way, but the way of sin. It’s time to make a U-turn and change course as fast as I can before disaster strikes. Lord Jesus, I repent of my sin. I want to turn from my sinful way and follow your way. I admit that my sin has caused me to move away from you. I am making a commitment now, with your help, to change the direction of my life. Some people say I should do whatever I want, and others want to call my sinful way of life nothing more than a little mistake. But I know it is sin. I have not been living the way you created me to live, and that means I have been rebelling against you. Please forgive me. I want to repent fully—to change my course and move toward you instead of away from you. May I keep going now in the right direction.
Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. Acts 3:19
