A prayer for Peace

When I struggle to experience God’s peace

Heavenly Father,

When I allow myself to trust that you are always watching over me, peace settles in my heart, even in the midst of difficult circumstances. This sounds so simple, but it is a step of faith for me. I have experienced your peace in troubled times, so I know that peace will not prevent me from encountering difficulties. However, it will give me the final victory over them. You promise to give me eternal life in heaven if I accept your free gift of salvation, you promise that Satan cannot take this gift away, and you promise to give me peace of mind and heart. Because these promises come from your eternal Word, I have total confidence in them. I praise you because no matter what happens, you will allow me to experience the inner peace that comes from knowing I am in your care.

I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27
