A prayer about Temptation

When I need help to avoid temptation

Lord Jesus,

Temptation so often begins with my eyes. And how quickly it then travels to my heart. When I let my eyes linger where they shouldn’t, before long I am being pulled in the wrong direction. I know that the first step in avoiding temptation is to avert my eyes. May I have the discipline to look away so I can avoid the tragic consequences of sin.
