A prayer about Persecution

When I’m harassed for my faith in Jesus

Dear Jesus,

I have hung on to my faith in you, and you have blessed me because of it. As I’ve endured testing, my faith has become strong and genuine. Sometimes the hardest tests have been times when I was scorned, mocked, or ignored by others because of my trust in you. During these hard times, my character was revealed and forced to grow. Persecution has a way of showing a person’s true colors and making known his or her level of commitment to you. As I’ve endured hardships, I’ve found that my faith is real. I praise you for that! Your Word encourages me with stories about many people who never stopped trusting you even though they were mocked, persecuted, and even killed for their faith. I may never face martyrdom for being a Christian, but I pray that my faith is strong enough to endure persecution like that. Let me live boldly for you, despite opposition, so I might make a great impact for eternity.
