A prayer about Children

When I consider what children can teach me about trusting God

Heavenly Father,

In children I see the innocence, curiosity, and faith that are so dear to you. Children are eager to experience new adventures and learn about the world around them, and they trust their parents to guide them, comfort them, and meet their needs. Father, I know you want me to approach life the same way. May I be willing to follow you on the adventure of life, learn all I can about you, and trust you for all I need. I sometimes make life too complicated, but you invite me simply to trust you. And may my faith be straightforward and honest as I anticipate with delight the blessings of divine moments with you. You are my Father, and I am your child.

[Jesus] said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew 18:3-4
