A prayer for Humility - Resisting pride

HEAVENLY FATHER,

I read often in your Word that you want your people to be humble. I confess to sometimes being full of myself. I want public recognition for my accomplishments, to receive compliments and acclaim. Break me of self-centeredness, of pride. It’s all you, not me. I am your humble servant. All glory belongs to you.

Those who are left will be the lowly and humble, for it is they who trust in the name of the LORD. Zephaniah 3:12
