HEAVENLY FATHER,

These days I have been feeling as though I am an alien in a foreign land. I know that I must love you with all that I am, but my culture says success, country, family, and other options are more important. I cherish life, while the world around me approves abortion and treats people as objects to be discarded. I ache for my neighbors and want them to know about Christ, but society says religion should be private and that I shouldn’t offend anyone by saying Jesus is the only way. Daniel and his friends were ripped from Judah and taken to Babylon where they were to be indoctrinated in the thoughts, priorities, daily routines, and language of that land. But they refused to compromise and stood strong. I love you, Father, and you have all of me. Give me strength and courage to resist the pull and pressures of this strange land. I may live here, but my true citizenship is in heaven. I pledge allegiance to you!
