GOD,

You know at times I jump in and volunteer for a task at church without thinking it through. And often that has led to big mistakes. People appreciate my enthusiasm, but when I don’t follow through, they may become reluctant to ask for help again—and I don’t blame them. Slow me down. Cause me to gather information first. I want to be a productive worker in the Kingdom.

Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes. Proverbs 19:2
