LORD,

Lately I’ve realized that many of my activities focus on the here and now: The big game. That latest gadget. My workout goals. They’re good but not the best. Thank you for reminding me what my real priorities should be. I ask that today, Lord, you would show me how to pursue godliness—first and foremost.

Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come. 1 Timothy 4:8
