A prayer about Giving - Doing it right

LORD,

At church, restrain me from making a show of my giving and service for you. When the offering plate is passed, remind me to slip in the check. In circles of friends, hold my tongue from boasting about my good deeds. And provide me with opportunities to give anonymously to those in need.

Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. Matthew 6:1
