A prayer about Faith-sharing - Telling my story

ALMIGHTY GOD,

What an unlikely witness, this woman of Samaria with a tainted reputation; yet she was instrumental in bringing many to Christ. After encountering Jesus at the well, the woman realized that he was, in fact, the Messiah, so she ran to her village to spread the word. This is a powerful and convicting story for me. I met Jesus some time ago, and I know he is the Savior—and I have the record of his life and teachings in the Bible. Yet I am not nearly as bold. The woman went to those who needed to hear, told her story, and pointed people to Christ. In the process, this once promiscuous woman became a spiritual mother. I pray for that kind of Spirit-led boldness, Lord. My circle of relationships and contacts is larger than the Samaritan village, and every day I have opportunities to share the Good News. So today, give me sensitivity to those whom you are preparing. Then give me the courage and words to share my story and point people to Jesus.
