A prayer about Envy - Doing God’s work

FATHER,

Today at church please keep me from envying others and their gifts. As I worship and serve you, remove any hint of jealousy and rivalry with my brothers and sisters in Christ. I want to do your work with pure motives, seeking only to honor you and not myself. May I speak, sing, and pray to your glory.

It’s true that some are preaching out of jealousy and rivalry. But others preach about Christ with pure motives. Philippians 1:15
