A prayer about Discernment - Needing to know the right way to go

HOLY SPIRIT,

I am listening and ready to follow your leading. Today, faced with several questions and directions, I’m unsure as to which way to go. The options are numerous. You have given me a mind to think things through, so I’ve read and studied and have carefully weighed the pros and cons of each potential path. I know that I should not simply rely on my own thoughts, abilities, and strength, and I want my choices to match godly values and line up with your Word. I have also sought the advice of trusted friends. But with all of the facts laid out before me, I’m still not confident in making the correct choice. Your paths are “true and right”—I need to “[walk] in them.” So I ask for discernment, my divine Comforter and Friend. Please make the answer clear, as I consider wise counsel, see open doors, and sense your inner urging. And once I make each decision, help me to move ahead, confident that you are guiding my every step.

Let those who are wise understand these things. Let those with discernment listen carefully. The paths of the LORD are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them. Hosea 14:9
