A Prayer About Urgency

When I realize that time is running out

FATHER,

“Christ could return at any moment!” I have heard that for years, and I know it’s true. But the implied urgency fades as time goes by. Paul told first-century believers that time was running out—how much more so now! Every day brings us closer to the end, one less day for people to repent and believe. Wake me from my complacency. Lead me to those with whom I can share Jesus’ story and love.

This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. Romans 13:11
