A Prayer About Testing

When I experience trials

FATHER,

The apostle Peter said believers would undergo difficult trials to test their faith. In fact, the early Christians were prepared and purified by terrible persecution. The trials of life are inevitable, so I pray that I meet them with joy and that my faith is shown to be genuine. Burn out the dross and purify me, Lord.

These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. 1 Peter 1:7
