A Prayer About Morality
A prayer about Morality
When I encounter relativism
SOVEREIGN GOD,
The question of personal behavior is getting fuzzy these days without a sense of right and wrong. Intellectual elites assert that no absolutes exist, morality depends on the person, and in this age of political correctness, no one should push his or her moral standards on anyone else. So most seem to think that we should be able to do whatever feels good as long as no one gets hurt. I know that way of thinking is completely false. We definitely have rights and wrongs, because you have revealed your will and absolute truth in your Word, the Bible. I get so frustrated and tired, Lord, fighting the anti-God, relativistic attitudes and immorality. Your moral law is clearly stated in the Ten Commandments, but people turn their backs on you. My heart breaks to see so many people give in and go that way. Give me strength to persevere and continue to resist the immoral temptations pushing in on all sides. And help me to lovingly and patiently point my friends to you and your truth.
There will be false teachers among you. They will cleverly teach destructive heresies and even deny the Master who bought them. In this way, they will bring sudden destruction on themselves. Many will follow their evil teaching and shameful immorality. And because of these teachers, the way of truth will be slandered. 2 Peter 2:1-2
