A Prayer About Lordship

When I need to remember who’s in charge

CHRIST MY SAVIOR,

I call you Lord, and I really mean it. But sometimes I forget what that title implies. You are in charge of my life, calling all the shots. Forgive me for acting as though I know better than you. John the Baptist told his followers, “[Jesus] must become greater . . . , and I must become less.” John could have felt threatened by your influence and authority, but he knew you were his Savior and God’s Son. May I have that same attitude, I pray.
