A Prayer About Caring For Others

When I see someone in need

LORD JESUS,

I confess that I can become so focused on my own concerns that I look right past others. Yet every day I come in contact with hurting people—some suffering physically, others emotionally or financially; and so many who don’t know you. Open my eyes, Lord, to the needs around me. Open my checkbook so that I will give generously. Open my schedule so I can spend time sharing the Good News. I want to see others the way you see them and to respond the way you would.

Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Romans 12:9
