A Reflection On Worship
A reflection on Worship
When I need to center my life on exalting God
When we consider God’s will for our lives, we usually are thinking in terms of a career direction or a major family or financial decision. God wants to direct us in these, but He has a higher priority. What is God’s will for us? Worship.
Jesus calls for obedient followers. He asks us to pray that laborers be sent into the harvest. But above all of these callings of service is a prior calling: to worship Him in spirit and in truth. This is our ultimate purpose. When all is said and done, when the Lord has returned, when the multitudes are gathered before His throne, we will know we exist only for worship.
There is a reason Jesus pointed to our love for God as the greatest commandment (Matthew 22:36-37). It fulfills our purpose. We were designed for worship, and the Father is seeking those who know that.
The time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.
John 4:23
