A Reflection On The Heart Of God

When I want my life to reflect God’s character

It’s easy to be so outwardly focused that we’re inwardly bankrupt. Do you ever go through the rituals of a worship service without an attitude of worship? Are you so focused on law that you condemn the lawless? God’s character is the source of justice, mercy, faithfulness, love, compassion, and truth. Whatever we do in His name should be saturated with such attributes. If it isn’t, then like the Pharisees, we’ve “swallowed a camel.” We’ve missed the heart of God.

You strain your water so you won’t accidentally swallow a gnat, but you swallow a camel!
