A Reflection On God’s Purposes

When I need to remember that God is sovereign

When your situation is critical, remember the calm of Jesus in the midst of His greatest storm—speaking to Pilate before His crucifixion. He acknowledged God’s sovereignty over His circumstances. Remember, too, the principle Paul lays down for us: “In all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28, NIV, italics added). Are you in a difficult place? God is accomplishing His purpose through it.
