The I Am Of Healing

The I Am of Healing

But the question remains: If you can’t change the past, how can your past wounds be healed?

If a physician had the technology, he could heal any wound. But the difficulty with an emotional or spiritual wound from your past is that even if it is removed, the cause of the wound still remains. It seems you can never be free of it.

But consider this: God is a physician who works outside of time. His personal name in Scripture is I AM. He is ever-present and also eternal. So He doesn’t see your life as past, present, and future. When He heals you, He can heal every part of you.

It’s a mystery how we can live in time and yet also find such an eternal healing. But our job isn’t to understand. Our job is to live in His eternal presence and allow Him to heal our past, present, and future.

Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. —Philippians 3:13–14
