How To Climb A Mountain

How to Climb a Mountain

Hiking in the mountains is no easy task, even for the young. In fact, more than one young person has found him- or herself going up at a quick pace, only to fall out while the slower hikers pass by.

And that’s the key: slow and steady wins the race. The trained hiker will often move at a snail’s pace, eyes down, focused on the ground, moving one step at a time. That’s how you climb a mountain.

What are your mountains? Losing weight? Training for a new career? Bringing healing to a broken relationship? The mountain feels so high that you almost want to quit before you even start.

You’ll make it, but your focus must be on the step right in front of you. That’s what you need to worry about—and nothing else. After that step, a new step will follow. Slow and steady. One step at a time.

That’s how you climb a mountain.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Matthew 6:34
