Enjoying The Feast

Enjoying the Feast

Becoming a better human being isn’t just about portion control and eating your carrots. It’s also about feasting and community. There were many feasts throughout the year during Bible times. God knew that part of life’s rhythm includes eating a great meal with family and friends. We still do this today around barbecues, birthdays, and holidays.

The occasional feast reminds you that life should be lived to the fullest. This abundance of food and fellowship speaks of the promise that one day the banquet will never end. You’ll have all you could ever eat. You’ll be eternally healthy and satisfied in communion with God Himself.

But it should also remind you that the world still hungers for this kind of food. So as your mouth waters in anticipation for the next great meal, you should invite others to join you. Together, you’ll feast on God’s love, His forgiveness, and His guidance on how to live a life that matters.

Together, you will eat and be satisfied.

Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life. —John 6:27 NASB
