Beyond Life Itself

One of the chief wonders of childhood is that you feel as though you’ll live forever.

You tackle life with abandon. You have an energy to learn, to enjoy, and to discover that would leave the most elite athlete in the dust. Your wonder for life sustains you because as far as you’re concerned, life has no end.

And then you grow up and learn about retirement plans and life insurance. You still build and plan a life, but it has an expiration date, and so your world is limited by a span of years. If there is any magic to be found, it will—like you—eventually fade away and die.

It’s true. We will all die someday. But will that be the end of life? Or is there more life to be lived?

Your answer to that question will determine whether you’ll start running again with joyful abandon.
