A Change Of Pace

A Change of Pace

A long with your determination, setting the proper pace for your workouts is key to not giving up.

Start slowly at first. Killing yourself won’t accomplish anything. Get the advice of a training coach, and alternate your workout regimen between strength training and cardio. Accomplish small goals in everything you do, and you’ll be able to build on that success.

Then, after a while, you’ll need to raise the bar. Don’t stay satisfied with ten reps when you’re able to do twenty. Pick up the pace on the treadmill when the current pace becomes too easy. Over reasonable increments of time, challenge yourself to rise to the next level, to do what you don’t think you can do.

Your movement isn’t just about getting in shape. It’s about making movement a lifestyle. Marathon runners pace themselves to finish the race.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
