[1] Then he showed me Joshua, the high priest, standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. [2] And the LORD said to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebukes you! Is this not a burning brand taken out of the fire?" [3] Now Joshua had on filthy garments and was standing before the angel. [4] And he said to those standing before him, "Take off his filthy garments." Then he said, "See that I have removed from you your iniquity, and I will clothe you with rich robes." [5] And I said, "Let them place a pure turban on his head." So they put a pure turban on his head and garments on him. And the angel of the LORD was standing by. [6] And the angel of the LORD admonished Joshua, saying, [7] "Thus says the LORD of Hosts: If you walk in My ways and keep My charge, then you will judge My house and guard My courts, and I will give to you access to these who are standing here. [8] "Hear this, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends sitting before you, for these men are a sign. I am bringing My servant, the Branch. [9] The stone that I have set before Joshua, on that single stone is seven eyes. And I will engrave an inscription, says the LORD of Hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in one day. [10] "On that day, says the LORD of Hosts, each of you will invite your companion to come and sit under the vine and under the fig tree."
