1 Corinthians 2:16How could they? For, “Who can know what the Lord is thinking? Who can give him counsel?” But we can understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.

Philippians 4:8And now, dear brothers and sisters, let me say one more thing as I close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
We can make a deliberate commitment to seek the help of the Holy Spirit to regularly cleanse our minds of sinful thoughts and renew our minds with healthy thoughts.

Philippians 3:12-13I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. [13] No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,
Philippians 1:6And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Developing a more disciplined mind is a process, but we can take comfort that God will continue to work in us. When we fall, we can always get up with new resolve, knowing God accepts our repentance and will provide us strength to continue. In time, if we keep ourselves open to his work in our hearts, we will become more like him.
Proverbs 24:33A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest-
Galatians 5:7-9You were running the race so well. Who has held you back from following the truth? [8] It certainly isn't God, for he is the one who called you to freedom. [9] This false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough!

James 1:14-15Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. [15] These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.
Allowing a small indulgence to sin in our thought life gives sin a foothold. Once sin has that leverage over us, the battle against temptation becomes a more dangerous fight. We should stand firm against allowing even a hint of sin’s deception to grow in our hearts.
Colossians 2:21-23“Don’t handle, don’t eat, don’t touch.” Such rules are mere human teaching about things that are gone as soon as we use them. These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, humility, and severe bodily discipline. But they have no effect when it comes to conquering a person’s evil thoughts and desires.
Romans 8:5-6Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. If your sinful nature controls your mind, there is death. But if the Holy Spirit controls your mind, there is life and peace.
1 Chronicles 28:9And Solomon, my son, get to know the God of your ancestors. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and with a willing mind. Jeremiah 31:33“But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day,” says the Lord. “I will put my laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
Titus 3:3-7Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled by others and became slaves to many wicked desires and evil pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy. We hated others, and they hated us. But then God our Savior showed us his kindness and love. He saved us, not because of the good things we did, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins and gave us a new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us because of what Jesus Christ our Savior did. He declared us not guilty because of his great kindness. And now we know that we will inherit eternal life.
1 Corinthians 2:10-11But we know these things because God has revealed them to us by his Spirit, and his Spirit searches out everything and shows us even God’s deep secrets. No one can know what anyone else is really thinking except that person alone, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit.

Romans 13:14But let the Lord Jesus Christ take control of you, and don’t think of ways to indulge your evil desires.
A disciplined mind will not come by just obeying rules or growing our willpower. It will come from seeking God’s supernatural help in disciplining our minds.
