What does it mean to be thoughtful? - Thoughtfulness - TouchPoints
1 Corinthians 10:24Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.
Philippians 2:3-4Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
Colossians 3:12Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
1 Timothy 5:9-10A widow who is put on the list for support must be a woman who is at least sixty years old and was faithful to her husband. She must be well respected by everyone because of the good she has done. Has she brought up her children well? Has she been kind to strangers and served other believers humbly? Has she helped those who are in trouble? Has she always been ready to do good?
Being thoughtful means meeting the needs of others with mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. This leads to the kind of servant’s heart that the apostle Paul identified in godly widows whom he instructed the church to support.
