What kinds of things am I most likely insensitive to? - Sensitivity - TouchPoints
Deuteronomy 29:2-4You have seen with your own eyes everything the Lord did in Egypt . . . the miraculous signs, and the amazing wonders. But to this day the Lord has not given you minds that understand, nor eyes that see . . .
How tragic to be insensitive to the miracles of God all around you. You miss out on so much when you aren’t aware of God’s work in nature and in people.
1 Thessalonians 5:14Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.
Philippians 2:1-41Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate?2 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.3 Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
It’s easy to be insensitive to the needs of people all around you when you are focused on your own needs and agenda. Slow down enough to have time to respond to the needy all around you.
