What should I do when it feels like God is far away?

Psalm 139:7I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!

God will go to any height or depth to be with you. Your feelings are fickle, but God is always faithful. Claim his presence even when you don’t feel it.

Job 23:8“I go east, but he is not there. I go west, but I cannot find him.”

Faith is trusting, even when you feel far from God. When you cannot find him, wait. He will come to you.

Deuteronomy 4:29“From there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him.”

Joshua 1:9“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

James 4:8Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

Revelation 3:20“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.”

Faith is trusting in the fact that God is present with you regardless of how you feel. God is with you even if you are feeling like God is far away. Continue to seek God; you will find him right there. God wants to be with you and will respond when you seek him.
