How can I be an overcomer? - Overcoming - TouchPoints
Psalm 116:3-5Death had its hands around my throat; the terrors of the grave overtook me. I saw only trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the Lord: “Please, Lord, save me!” How kind the Lord is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours!
Prayer is essential to winning the victory.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.
With confidence in God’s presence, we must develop the ability to endure setbacks without surrendering.
2 Corinthians 4:18So we don’t look at the troubles we can see right now; rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.
An eternal perspective is an indispensable attribute of the overcomer. Unseen solutions will replace visible problems.
