What should I do about injustice in my community and in the world?

Hebrews 13:3Don’t forget about those in prison. Suffer with them as though you were there yourself. Share the sorrow of those being mistreated, as though you feel their pain in your own bodies.

Step up to the plate—don’t ignore those being treated unjustly. Be an advocate for those being oppressed and taken advantage of and your heart will turn toward helping them more and more.

Psalm 82:3Give fair judgment to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.

Proverbs 31:8-9Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those who are perishing. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.

Speak out on behalf of those being treated unjustly. Silence toward injustice is unjust. And it is amazing how speaking up – in love – often makes a difference.

Isaiah 1:17Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the orphan. Fight for the rights of widows.

Job 29:16I was a father to the poor and made sure that even strangers received a fair trial.

Proverbs 24:11-12Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to death; don’t stand back and let them die. Don’t try to avoid responsibility by saying you didn’t know about it. For God knows all hearts, and he sees you. He keeps watch over your soul, and he knows you knew! And he will judge all people according to what they have done.

Act on your convictions and do something, anything, to help those in need.

Psalm 58:10The godly will rejoice when they see injustice avenged. They will wash their feet in the blood of the wicked.

1 Corinthians 13:6It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.

Shout out in rejoicing when justice prevails. Injustice requires mourning. Justice requires celebration.
