How should I respond when others are hypocritical?

Psalm 26:4I do not spend time with liars or go along with hypocrites.

Don’t spend lots of time with obviously hypocritical people. It is easy to pick up their habits.

Galatians 2:11But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong.

When Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him publicly, speaking strongly against what he was doing, for it was very wrong.

When our brothers and sisters in Christ are acting hypocritically, sometimes confrontation is necessary. Hypocrisy has a tendency to spread, and it becomes a danger to other believers. In that case, confrontation becomes the most loving course of action. When we confront others, we should do so in love and gentleness, rather than in pride. Otherwise, we miss the point.
