2 Corinthians 12:9-10Each time he said, “My gracious favor is all you need. My power works best in your weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may work through me. Since I know it is all for Christ’s good, I am quite content with my weaknesses and with insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
God can use our weakness and pain to reveal his strength and power. It is often through pain that we most vividly experience God’s work in our lives.
2 Corinthians 4:18So we don’t look at the troubles we can see right now; rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.
Hebrews 10:34-37You suffered along with those who were thrown into jail, and when all you owned was taken from you, you accepted it with joy. You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever. So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! God can use our pain to help us gain an eternal perspective, a new way of looking at our circumstances.

Hurtful situations can strengthen our faith, develop our endurance, and mold our character.

God can use painful situations to bring about personal remorse and a change of heart to help us grow closer to him and make the right choices in the future.

Pain is an opportunity for God to minister to his people. When pain comes, don’t miss the signs of God’s tender care.

God can use painful discipline to grow and strengthen our self-control.
