How can I experience God’s blessing on my home?

Proverbs 3:33The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, but his blessing is on the home of the upright.

Ezekiel 44:30The first of the ripe fruits and all the gifts brought to the Lord will go to the priests. The first samples of each grain harvest and the first of your flour must also be given to the priests so the Lord will bless your homes.

1 Timothy 5:4But if she has children or grandchildren, their first responsibility is to show godliness at home and repay their parents by taking care of them. This is something that pleases God very much.

Invite the Lord into your home with love, kindness, and generosity, and he will pour out his blessings on your home.

Psalm 127:1-2Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is useless. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good. It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.

God desires an active role in our homes. He offers to be not only the architect of your home, but the builder as well.

Proverbs 3:33The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, but his blessing is on the home of the upright.

Proverbs 12:7The wicked die and disappear, but the family of the godly stands firm.

The wicked perish and are gone, but the children of the godly stand firm.

Proverbs 14:11The house of the wicked will perish, but the tent of the godly will flourish.

Proverbs 15:6There is treasure in the house of the godly, but the earnings of the wicked bring trouble.

God’s blessing is promised to those who strive to be righteous.

Ezekiel 44:30The first of the ripe fruits and all the gifts brought to the Lord will go to the priests. The first samples of each grain harvest and the first of your flour must also be given to the priests so the Lord will bless your homes.

1 Timothy 5:4, 8But if she has children or grandchildren, their first responsibility is to show godliness at home and repay their parents by taking care of them. This is something that pleases God very much . . . But those who won’t care for their own relatives, especially those living in the same household, have denied what we believe. Such people are worse than unbelievers.

Hebrews 13:2Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!

Matthew 25:40"And the King will say, 'I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'

God blesses our stewardship as we give him our first and best. One way we can give back to God through our homes is through caring for those in need—both loved ones and strangers. When we provide kindness, hospitality, and provision for others, it is as though we are offering them to God himself.

1 Chronicles 13:14The Ark of God remained there in Obed-edom’s house for three months, and the Lord blessed the household of Obed-edom and everything he owned.

2 Samuel 6:12Then King David was told, “The Lord has blessed Obed-edom’s home and everything he has because of the Ark of God.” So David went there and brought the Ark to the City of David with a great celebration.

Genesis 30:27-30“Please don’t leave me,” Laban replied, “for I have learned by divination that the Lord has blessed me because you are here. How much do I owe you? Whatever it is, I’ll pay it.” Jacob replied, “You know how faithfully I’ve served you through these many years, and how your flocks and herds have grown. You had little indeed before I came, and your wealth has increased enormously. The Lord has blessed you from everything I do! But now, what about me? When should I provide for my own family?”

Genesis 39:4-5So Joseph naturally became quite a favorite with him. Potiphar soon put Joseph in charge of his entire household and entrusted him with all his business dealings. From the day Joseph was put in charge, the Lord began to bless Potiphar for Joseph’s sake. All his household affairs began to run smoothly, and his crops and livestock flourished.

God’s blessing comes to a home where he is present.
