Isaiah 52:7How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news . . . of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!

The Good News of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus, and the wonderful relationship we can have with God through him, is news of great joy and happiness for us. When we receive this news as our own, we are supremely happy. But there is an added measure of happiness when we share it with others.

Daniel 12:3“Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.”

Godliness is like sunshine, radiating the warmth and light from God himself. Witnessing is like moonlight, reflecting the Son to others.

Proverbs 13:9The life of the godly is full of light and joy, but the light of the wicked will be snuffed out.

Goodness is from God, and God is light. When we live godly lives, we are lamps along the way, but when we live ungodly lives, the lamps go out. The light of godliness brings true happiness.
