Jeremiah 4:22“My people are foolish and do not know me,” says the Lord. “They are senseless children who have no understanding. They are clever enough at doing wrong, but they have no talent at all for doing right!”
Proverbs 10:23Doing wrong is fun for a fool, but living wisely brings pleasure to the sensible.
Psalm 14:1Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; no one does good!
Proverbs 24:9The schemes of a fool are sinful; everyone despises a mocker.
Proverbs 13:19It is pleasant to see dreams come true, but fools will not turn from evil to attain them.
Isaiah 32:6For fools speak foolishness and make evil plans. They practice ungodliness and spread false teachings about the Lord. They deprive the hungry of food and give no water to the thirsty.

They oppress your people, Lord, hurting those you love.
A fool has lost perspective of right and wrong, truth and falsehood. A fool has no anchor of absolute truth in God, and therefore drifts through life following sinful whims.
Matthew 7:24-27Anyone who listens to my teaching and obeys me is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse, because it is built on rock. But anyone who hears my teaching and ignores it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will fall with a mighty crash.
Fools ignore God’s Word, the advice that can guide them safely through life.
1 Samuel 13:13“How foolish!” Samuel exclaimed. “You have disobeyed the command of the Lord your God. Had you obeyed, the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.”
1 Chronicles 21:8Then David said to God, “I have sinned greatly and shouldn’t have taken the census. Please forgive me for doing this foolish thing.”
Psalm 107:17Some were fools; they rebelled and suffered for their sins.
Fools disobey God’s Word and rebel against it. They reject God’s good blessings in search of something else and bring suffering on themselves.
Proverbs 10:8The wise are glad to be instructed, but babbling fools fall flat on their faces.
Proverbs 1:28-33I will not answer when they cry for help. Even though they anxiously search for me, they will not find me. For they hated knowledge and chose not to fear the Lord. They rejected my advice and paid no attention when I corrected them. That is why they must eat the bitter fruit of living their own way.

Fools despise instruction and ultimately prove their ignorance to all!

Fools act thoughtlessly – about themselves and others—with no regard for the future.

Fools are angry and quick-tempered.

Jeremiah 17:11Like a bird that hatches eggs she has not laid, so are those who get their wealth by unjust means. Sooner or later they will lose their riches and, at the end of their lives, will become poor old fools.
Fools are dishonest.
Luke 11:39-40Then the Lord said to him, “You Pharisees are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are still filthy—full of greed and wickedness! Fools! Didn’t God make the inside as well as the outside?”

Fools are hypocrites. They put on a show, trying to convince themselves and others they are better than they are. They forget that God sees through such charades.

Fools are lazy. They waste time and avoid hard work. They don’t recognize that doing something produces something, and doing nothing produces nothing.
