How does my faithfulness affect others? - Faithfulness - TouchPoints

How does my faithfulness affect others?

Deuteronomy 6:6-7“And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.”

Isaiah 38:19Only the living can praise you as I do today. Each generation tells of your faithfulness to the next.

Hebrews 10:23-25Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

The privilege and obligation of each generation is to reveal to the next the faithfulness of our God. We can leave a rich heritage by building this awareness in the minds of our children and grandchildren. This is of far more lasting value than any other kind of inheritance we might leave behind. Faithfulness to our brothers and sisters in Christ is another way we can grow one another in faithfulness to God. As we gather with other believers, we can strengthen and encourage ourselves and others to live faithfully.
