What are the benefits of endurance? - Endurance - TouchPoints
1 Peter 2:19For God is pleased with you when, for the sake of your conscience, you patiently endure unfair treatment.
James 5:11We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. Job is an example of a man who endured patiently. From his experience we see how the Lord’s plan finally ended in good, for he is full of tenderness and mercy.
Revelation 2:2, 19I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don’t tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars . . . I know all the things you do—your love, your faith, your service, and your patient endurance. And I can see your constant improvement in all these things.
Endurance pleases God because it honors him and his plan for you.
1 Peter 4:13Instead, be very glad—because these trials will make you partners with Christ in his suffering, and afterward you will have the wonderful joy of sharing his glory when it is displayed to all the world.
Hebrews 3:14For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.
2 Timothy 2:10-12I am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen. This is a true saying: If we die with him, we will also live with him. If we endure hardship, we will reign with him. If we deny him, he will deny us.
Matthew 24:13But those who endure to the end will be saved.
Hebrews 10:36Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
James 1:12God blesses the people who patiently endure testing. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

1 Timothy 4:16Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you.
2 Timothy 4:5-8But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at bringing others to Christ. Complete the ministry God has given you. As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness that the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that great day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his glorious return.
Endurance makes you a partner with Christ in his suffering and in his glory.
2 Peter 1:5-7So make every effort to apply the benefits of these promises to your life. Then your faith will produce a life of moral excellence. A life of moral excellence leads to knowing God better. Knowing God leads to self-control. Self-control leads to patient endurance, and patient endurance leads to godliness. Godliness leads to love for other Christians, and finally you will grow to have genuine love for everyone.
James 1:2-4Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything.
1 Peter 1:7These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
Romans 5:3-4We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us—they help us learn to endure. And endurance develops strength of character in us, and character strengthens our confident expectation of salvation.
Endurance in your faith produces all kinds of godly character traits. Endurance is like the fire that purifies precious metals and hardens valuable pottery. It cleanses, clarifies, and solidifies your faith. Living through the trials and tests of life uncovers the riches of your faith and develops godly character.
2 Corinthians 1:6So when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your benefit and salvation! For when God comforts us, it is so that we, in turn, can be an encouragement to you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer.
1 Peter 5:9Take a firm stand against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that Christians all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.
Revelation 1:9I am John, your brother. In Jesus we are partners in suffering and in the Kingdom and in patient endurance. I was exiled to the island of Patmos for preaching the word of God and speaking about Jesus.
Endurance encourages others to follow your example.
