How can leaders help to minimize crises?

Proverbs 27:12A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

Sometimes a crisis comes because leaders were not wise in the decisions they made. If you are in a position of leadership, take time to do your best to anticipate the consequences of your actions and decisions before you make them.

1 Peter 5:6-11So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. . . . After you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.

The wise leader avoids many crises by leading with humility, complete dependence on God, and awareness of the spiritual enemy. A wise leader also understands that suffering will not last forever, and that God will restore his people.
