How can I possibly obey all God’s commandments consistently?
Romans 12:2Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Galatians 5:16So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.
Philippians 2:12-13Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
Colossians 3:16-17Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
As a believer you have begun a life-long journey of transformation that has often been called “sanctification.” God is working in you by his son and by his spirit to enable you to live a consistently godly life. Dwell on the message of the scriptures, know God, and recognize your new life in Christ as you are moved to righteous living.
