Fear of God is different from a fear of other powerful things. You hide from the power of a severe storm or run from the power of a large wave crashing on the shore. But the awesomeness of God’s power is captivating. The more you see God’s awesomeness at work in your life and the world around you, the more you will desire to be near him and experience his empowering Spirit. Recognizing God’s awesomeness puts you in the middle of his glory and helps you experience both God’s presence and his unconditional love.
