Psalms for Those Who Grieve

When we seek God in our sadness, it leads to deeper intimacy with him. If you are in a season of grief, this plan was designed for you. Spend seven days reading through a collection of psalms where people cried out to God in their pain. It is estimated that two-thirds of the Psalms are laments. Perhaps God knew that so many of us would look to his Word for comfort and solidarity. As you read, notice how many psalms end with praises or promises to hope in God even while waiting. Take comfort God's Word, cry out to him in your grief, and remember your story will not end in sorrow (Revelation 21:4).
