Book of the Month: Lamentations - Bible Reading Plan

February's Book of the Month is the book of Lamentations. Within the first two chapters of this book, you get a glimpse of the hopeless situation God's people find themselves in. Judah is defeated, the temple is destroyed, and God's people are taken captive to Babylon. As you read through these poetic laments, take note of the sorrow that comes from choosing to live apart from God. As believers, we need to be reminded of the seriousness of sin as well as the hope that comes through the forgiveness of God. As Lamentations only has five chapters, this entire book can easily be read in the month of February.
