Mistakes

Last year I made some mistakes. How can I avoid making them again?

God’s Response

I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. Philippians 3:13

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6

There can be a big difference between making a mistake and committing a sin. A mistake is getting the wrong answer on a test. A sin is cheating in order to get a better grade. You can often avoid repeating a mistake by studying harder, planning better, or double-checking your work. But to avoid repeating the same sin, you need God’s help. The regret you feel over a sin indicates that you want to be different, and that desire is from God. Ask God to help you be different!

This Is Promising

Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. Lamentations 3:23
