How can I serve God better?

I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. Ezekiel 36:26

You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. Matthew 22:37

The kind of heart God wants you to have is a new, obedient heart that will love him fully and really want to serve him. You don’t have to work to get that kind of heart; God will give it to you, but he won’t force it on you—you have to want it. And to want it, you have to humble yourself. That means admitting that a lot of times you don’t like doing things God’s way. It means admitting that sometimes you’re really selfish and your mind can think up some pretty bad things. Humility unlocks the door to your heart so that God can begin the clean-up process that will change you forever.

Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. Hebrews 9:14
