Integrity - The One Year Mini for Men

Integrity

How does Jesus model integrity?

God’s Response

The leading priests and the entire high council were trying to find witnesses who would lie about Jesus, so they could put him to death. But even though they found many who agreed to give false witness, there was no testimony they could use. Matthew 26:59-60

[Pilate] announced his verdict. “You brought this man to me, accusing him of leading a revolt. I have examined him thoroughly on this point in your presence and find him innocent. Herod came to the same conclusion and sent him back to us. Nothing this man has done calls for the death penalty.” Luke 23:14-15

Integrity means knowing what you believe and living as though you believe it. No one is a better model of this than Jesus. Though we can never be perfect as he was, we can always grow in integrity. This involves being faithful in every area of your life, no matter how small. In fact, you’ll probably find that it is in the small things that your integrity will be tested the most.

God’s Challenge

Unless you are faithful in small matters, you won’t be faithful in large ones. If you cheat even a little, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. Luke 16:10
