Walking With God - Leaning on the Promises of God for Moms

Walking with God

If there was one legacy I could leave to women, it would be to help them think more biblically. When a woman knows Scripture—not just verses here and there taken out of context but a biblical understanding from Genesis to Revelation—she has more confidence and ease in her walk with God.

God makes it clear throughout Scripture that His priority is that we know Him and love Him with our whole heart and mind. And so the starting point for any arena in our lives must be God—our worship of Him and knowledge of Him, plus obedience coming from a heart that wants to please Him.

As we live the Christian life, God has given us a brain to think, a conscience to nudge our hearts, and most importantly, the Holy Spirit who lives inside of us to guide us. All He asks is that we live by faith in Him and dependence on Him. God always loves to lead us and work through us by faith in relationship to Him and what He is impressing us to do, within the beautiful design of our femininity and womanhood. That is why it is crucial that we are spending time in His presence and seeking to build a foundation of conviction on Scripture and knowledge of God.

His Promises

Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

Matthew 24:35

So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.

Hebrews 2:1

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

2 Timothy 3:16
